Complex Orthopedic Injuries

Orthopedic physical therapy focuses on the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Some injuries have layers of issues and injuries from the past, that may play into the current problem. Alix has a special interest in working with people on the intention behind movements. She teaches more than just strength and flexibility. She takes into account each person’s resting muscle and fascial tone. She looks for how someone isolates and integrates multiple joints, how they grade muscle activation patterns and their ability to coordinate multiple joints into one movement pattern. Alix is able to take all of these factors into account to restore functional and pain free movements.
